Intersalon is a low cost fully-online Salon Software package from Vaalto Technologies. Originally an online booking service for a local salon, Intersalon may not seem the perfect fit for Vaalto - but our expertise in C#, ASP.NET and web technologies gave us a head start. Despite its small beginnings, Intersalon has grown with us, and our customers. Now a fully featured salon software package in its own right, Intersalon is constantly evolving, and consistently updated - usually with features requested directly from our customer base via online support channels.

Intersalon follows the software-as-a-service (saas) model, and is charged as a monthly subscription fee. There's no contract - we believe the product speaks for itself, and don't feel the need to tie customers into lengthy contracts. Customers stay with us because they like our product. The monthly fee covers all licence requirements both from ourselves, and the third party components we use.

Intersalon runs on industry standard Windows Server technologies using IIS7. The Microsoft .Net Framework and ASP.NET provide our devlopement platform, ensuring our product is well supported both by Vaalto ourselves, and our technology partners.

Intersalon customers span the country and the globe and despite clearly marketing the software as primarily hair salon software, our clients include beauty salons, gyms and even dog spas. We've improved regional settings within Intersalon to further help accessibility for our overseas clients.

Intersalon is supported directly via a number of support channels. We use Zendesk for our main support ticketing system, but also offer direct email support too. Our phone support team are also on hand to solve problems and get customers up and running as soon as possible. Our Intersalon help system uses HelpConsole 2010 in order to provide online support guides and how to's, and downloaded PDF setup guides.

Upgrade Programme

Over the years Intersalon has grown, so we've also repeatedly upgraded our server hardware. Our current server farm include multi-core processors and cloud-based storage facilities for customer website content.

Intersalon is iPad and tablet friendly and available on mobile devices too. While we wouldn't perhaps advise the running of a busy salon to be completed on a mobile screen, Intersalon's online system is perfect for solo stylists too. Tablet devices are also great for the salon environment, especially if a laptop or computer system is often in use.

Future

We're always updating Intersalon. Sometimes with our own ideas, and often direct feature requests from customers. Our mantra is simple - if a customer requests a feature we consider useful to our customer base as a whole, we add it. In the near future we hope to improve mobile accessibility for both the administration areas of Intersalon, and the customer facing salon websites. App's are also in the works.
